Vitamin E is found in nature in 8 different forms: alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocopherol, and alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocotrienol. But while research is increasingly showing the gamma-tocopherol form to be important, most supplements only contain the alpha-tocopherol form. For optimum benefit when choosing a multivitamin or vitamin E supplement, you should always make sure that it contains vitamin E in several of its naturally occurring forms.

Research has also found that vitamin D and calcium supplements can eliminate or reduce the symptoms of PMS. Other natural approaches that have been shown to be beneficial include the use of magnesium and vitamin B6 supplements, and Evening Primrose Oil.
