Poor nutrition is increasingly becoming recognized as a risk factor for cognitive decline and dementia. This comes following numerous scientific articles demonstrating the beneficial effects of nutrition on memory, attention, intelligence, vocabulary, creative thinking, reaction time, comprehension, learning, and other critical measures of cognition.

In particular, there is growing evidence that supplementing with B vitamins, especially folic acid, may have a positive effect on delaying and preventing the risk of cognitive decline. Research shows that for people with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, a combination of B vitamins prevents brain shrinkage, a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease.

To read how consuming synergistic combinations of antioxidants may prevent and even reverse Alzheimer’s disease, see this article on our website.
