Melanoma is the most feared skin cancer because of its aggressiveness and rapid spread to vital organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, and brain. With conventional treatment modalities not being effective in blocking the metastasis of this form of cancer, many patients – and increasing numbers of physicians – are seeking science-based alternatives.

In recent years there has been growing interest in the role of vitamin D in preventing melanoma. Research has shown that a deficiency of vitamin D in melanoma patients is associated with worse overall survival. A study published in 2023 found that fewer cases of the disease were observed among regular users of vitamin D supplements than among non-users.

Based on Dr. Rath’s revolutionary Cellular Medicine approach, scientists at the Dr. Rath Research Institute have tested the anti-cancer effects of a specific combination of synergistic micronutrients that included the amino acids lysine and proline, green tea extract, and vitamin C, and found it was able to suppress the growth and metastasis of melanoma cells in mice. Impressively, the scientists have since demonstrated that this same combination is effective in inhibiting the invasion of more than 40 additional types of human cancer, including those of the breast, lung, colon, cervix, bone, testes, pancreas, liver, bladder, kidney, ovary, prostate, blood, and brain.
